We spent a couple days in Galveston. Mom has some friends with a house that they let us use. I’ve never met them, but I know they’re good people because they have a dog so don’t mind if I stay at their beach house too.
Lots of new stuff for me. best thing was a dock on the back of the house on a canal. I was a little scared at first but liked seeing the water. We also put some bait in a crab trap and caught the little fellah in cage. He was snapping all tough behind the bars. Dad did t let me eat him though. I had fun on the beach. I never knew there was such a thing as a beach till I got there- we had a lot of fun. Me, the ratty Kid and the Hageney boys all went swimming. It was pretty chilly. Dad said it was too cold.
